The traditional method of brewing matcha is chanoyu (Japanese Tea Ceremony).

Prepare:

– matcha brewing cup

– bamboo chasen

– bamboo teaspoon.

Put two bamboo teaspoons of matcha (or one regular teaspoon) into your bowl and pour approx. 100 ml of water at 80 ° C.

 

Stir the bamboo chasen, rubbing from the bottom(without touching it) in zig-zag motion until a thick green foam is there.. Chasen will form a slurry that will allow us to drink the whole leaves.

Then add water depending on your preferences.

MILK FROTHER

Pour a teaspoon of matcha into the vessel and pour about 100 ml of water not exceeding 80 ° C.

Stir with a milk frother and add the desired amount of water.

​This type of preparation is extremely easy and quick, while maintaining the quality and the correct consistency of the drink.

SHAKER

Enjoy your matcha both hot and cold!
Put 1-2 teaspoons of matcha in a shaker, pour water at the desired temperature and shake well.

That’s all  – now you can take your favorite matcha with you.

MATCHA LATTE

Iced, tonic or  matcha latte  – new variants of matcha-based drinks are still being developed. 

Prepare the base for matcha latte – pour 100 ml of water  into matcha and mix with chasen. 

If you like, at this point you can add sweetener, then mix again to combine the ingredients. 

At the end, pour heated and frothed milk on your matcha.
